Mike mayock, the general manager of Raiders, did not shy away from mentioning the team’s current shortcomings. The position of Linebacker is one of the parts that need to be improved.
The Raiders made some adjustments to cut Tahir Whitehead on Monday .
Whitehead, 29, has played 32 regular season games for Raiders in the past two years, making 234 tackles, six broken passes, one cut and one forced drop. The professional football focus website gave him the same score as Anthony Barr, Tremaine Edmunds, Leighton Vander esch and others.
Whitehead was cut mainly because of salaryspace. He would have taken up $7.29 million of salary space, and could have made $6.25 million. When the free market opens, the Raiders are expected to have $55 million in space.
